Metal Prep 6 – 12 months in metal fabrication or related field with sheet metal or welding experience in this or a similar manufacturing operation. Body Positions: Sitting and standing Body Movements: Walking, standing, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing arms, wrists, hand and fingers, turning head and torso. Able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs. with occasional heavy lifting required. Body Senses: Must have sight and hearing commensurate with the obligations of the position. Language: Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in the language in use in the area well enough to understand instructions and communicate potential problems. Work is carried out in a manufacturing plant with the accompanying hazards of moving equipment, noise, dust drafts, fumes, and airborne particles. Normal workdays are eight hours in length five days a week or ten hours in length four days a week. Overtime working may be required at times.
