Mechanic, Sheet Metal II - 17549 Description Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or uses templates. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block, and form, or straighten materials. Shapes metal material • § Follow directions and / or instructions, as directed. § Familiar with Internal Customer Interfaces, as defined by the process assigned. § Process forms and document work by utilizing their endorsement, in accordance with the Quality Management System. § Notify immediate supervisor of any suspected un-airworthy condition noted while performing their duties. § Acquire and maintain hand tools, if necessary, to complete work assigned. § Clean, disassemble and identify components, with normal supervision. § Have a good understanding of blueprints, technical manuals, and planning documents with normal supervision. § Apply different type’s conversion coatings and sealants using different types of tools and methods with normal supervision. § Work in conjunction with higher grade Mechanics to further their job knowledge base through OJT with normal supervision. § Cleans work area, when required with minimal supervision. § Read and understand blueprints and technical manuals. § Accomplish basic repairs with normal supervision. § Have a basic understanding of computer processes involved in daily operations. § Other various duties, as assigned. Qualifications • Read, write, and understand English fluently. • Ability to learn and understand and communicate effectively in writing and verbally. • Ability to interpret blueprints, refer to schematics to perform repairs. • Basic knowledge of computers, the ability to look up repairs in system. Sheetmetal Mechanic

Job Title: Sheetmetal Mechanic Job Description Join a dynamic and growing team at a part 145 Structures/bench sheetmetal repair station. You will have the opportunity to work on flight controls, leading edges, nacelle, military projects, and smaller components, contributing to a wide variety of tasks based on your skills and the company’s needs. Responsibilities • Perform sheetmetal bench modifications and repairs in compliance with client specifications. • Work on various components such as flight controls, leading edges, nacelle, and military projects. • Assist with small component bonding as necessary. • Log work accurately using Microsoft Word/Suite. • Adapt to different departments based on requirements and skill set. Essential Skills • Proficiency in sheet metal repair and modification. • Experience in a 145 repair station is strongly preferred. • Familiarity with wide body Boeing and Airbus airframes. • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications • A&P license is preferred but not required. • Experience with composite bonding. • Experience in the overhaul and repair of large components and accessories. • Competence in utilizing and navigating the Microsoft Office Suite. • Ownership of personal tools or readiness to acquire them. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional half-day Saturdays based on workload. Department sizes range from 3 to 7 people, and workloads are distributed by division leads. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
