Schedule:8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday POSITION SUMMARY:This position is for an Aircraft Sheet Metal/ Structures Technician in Hot Springs, AR.Provides an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a fast-growing aerospace service company.Our FAA/EASA certificated repair facility services a wide range of aircraft airframe components used in commercial aircrafts like Boeing, Airbus/ MD-80 & DC-10/11.We are seeking a dedicated, experienced technician pursuing a rewarding, long-term career.Salary is highly competitive and dependent upon your experience and qualifications.Responsibilities and Duties:Assesses maintenance/repair requirements for airframe components and assemblies using technical manuals, service bulletins, and other approved data.Provides technical information to engineers for the development of repairs outside of approved data scope when required.Performs approved repair operations to structures including sheet metal and other structures.Overhauls mechanical assemblies including repairs and part replacements.Documents maintenance/repair actions per company and FAA requirements.Maintains a safe and clean working environment.Required Skills/Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years' experience with aircraft structures.Mentoring or a prior lead role is a plus.Must own and be skilled in the use of structures and hand tools related to the responsibilities described above.Must be well versed in the use of production and repair-related prints/drawings.Ability to read precision measuring tools and instruments.Working knowledge of FAA regulations, their interpretation, and application.Intermediate level computer skills including basic use of MS Outlook (or other e-mail application), Word, and Excel preferred.Ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter both orally and in writing.Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.FAA Airframe certification would be a plus Job Type: Contract Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Shift availability: • Day Shift (Required) Work Location: On the road

Sheet Metal Mechanic

Mechanic, Sheet Metal III - 17873 Description Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or uses templates. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials. Shapes metal material over anvil, block, or other form. Inspects assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Follow company policies and procedures. • Follow directions and / or instructions, as directed. • Familiar with Internal Customer Interfaces, as defined by the process assigned. • Process forms and document work by utilizing their endorsement, in accordance with the Quality Management System. • Notify immediate supervisor of any suspected un-airworthy condition noted while performing their duties. • Acquire and maintain hand tools, if necessary, to complete work assigned. • Clean, disassemble and identify components, with normal supervision. • Have a good understanding of blueprints, technical manuals and planning documents with normal supervision. • Apply different type’s conversion coatings and sealants using different types of tools and methods with normal supervision. • Work in conjunction with higher grade Mechanics to further their job knowledge base through OJT with normal supervision. • Cleans work area, when required with minimal supervision. • Read and understand blueprints and technical manuals. • Accomplish basic repairs with normal supervision. • Have a basic understanding of computer processes involved in daily operations. • Other various duties, as assigned. Qualifications Full knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with an understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding the detailed aspects of the job.
