Overview The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for conducting the installation of metal/board HVAC systems. Responsibilities • Assembles and installs metal duct and fiberglass board. • Blue print reading and understanding of sheet metal shop drawings. • All phases of duct installation (spiral, rectangular, double wall, welded). • Understanding of different connectors that are used. • Hanger layout as well as some field measuring. • Organizes work area and maintains all hand tools. • Lifts heavy materials at heights. Overview The Foreman is responsible for supervising and assisting the field and subcontractor workers with field installation activities in a specifically assigned area/portion of a project including quality control and safety.
