About the Position This role is general labor oriented. A ton of experience is not required in this role, there will be on the job training. Essentially, the role requires assembly of prefabricated sheet metal parts that are used in the HVAC, Plumbing and Roofing industries. This role is an integral piece of the overall supply chain puzzle at Joval. Quality and conscientiousness, as well as awareness of all organizational operational objectives are imperative for the person in this role. Job Duties • General labor around the warehouse, in the sheet metal assembly line • Responsible for taking care of the equipment one uses • Some products require handling fiberglass insulation • Must be able to fill out minor paperwork • Properly package completed metal products • Help with any of the Joval Team's needs as they arise. Minimum Requirements • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Proficiency in reading and writing infographics and detailed instructions • Must be reliable, and able to show up to work on time daily, excluding limited emergencies. • Must be able to properly and efficiently count multiple items throughout each workday • Must be able to read a tape measure and other measurement tools • Must be able to do basic math - subtraction, addition, and multiplication • Must be able to safely lift in excess of 50 lbs. Controlling Machines and Processes - Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles). Position is largely based inside a semi-open-air warehouse. In the summers there can be high heat, although there are cooling and mitigating efforts in place throughout the warehouse.
