JOB REQUIREMENTS: \* Assemble, install, or repair pipes, fittings, orfixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems, according tospecifications or plumbing codes. \* Assemble, install, or repair pipes,fittings, or fixtures of water, drainage systems, and hyronic heataccording to specifications or plumbing codes. \* Lay out, assemble,install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, or related equipmentfor steam, water, drain and heating systems. \* Anchor steel supportsfrom ceiling joists to hold pipes in place. \* Assemble pipe sections,tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement,plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.\* Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observepressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. Inspect structures to assessmaterial or equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipeinstallations, or to plan installation around obstructions such aselectrical wiring. Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliancessuch as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks ortoilets, using hand or power tools. Install underground storm, sanitary,or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixturesand plumbing.
