Work Shift Day (United States of America) Job Summary The Senior Plumber maintains, repairs, installs and fabricates plumbing related equipment and systems to include valves, piping, pressure regulators, back flow preventers, strainers, fire sprinkler systems, grease traps, etc. Position will provide oversight for contractor work performed on the campus as well as some project management responsibilities. Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions Maintenance/repair (domestic water systems, fire sprinkler systems, sanitary drain lines, back flow systems, water pump stations and pressure regulating systems, etc.) * Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment in his discipline on a scheduled basis. * Trouble Shoot and diagnose equipment for identification of deficiencies in operation. * Repair equipment associated with these areas of discipline. * Prepare documentation related to the systematic preventative maintenance or repair of equipment in this area of discipline. Assist in the maintenance of critical spares and repair parts for equipment in these disciplines. * Conduct periodic assessments/inventories of critical spare and general spare parts for systems. * Prepare proper purchase requisitions for acquiring these spares and repair parts in a timely fashion to ensure continuous repair efforts. * Ensure that all documentation related to return of damaged/defective parts is completed in a timely fashion to ensure proper credits are received. * Receive all materials related to purchases within 3 days of delivery and turn in all documentation at that time to ensure purchases are paid in a timely fashion. Project management. Prepare and conduct risk assessment documentation for said projects. Co-ordinate project meetings, schedules for installation/repair or inspection. Compile documentation related to same and distribute as required within the timelines required for compliance. Manage and co-ordinate the required purchase order documentation required for such projects Assist contractors in research for utility shutdowns for repairs and new construction/renovations to reduce utility down times and impacts on patient care. Observes new construction to ensure systems are properly installed and identified as required by code. Miscellaneous Duties. * Review proposed project documentation and blue prints for accuracy and deficiencies. * Conduct periodic punch list inspections of new construction in areas of discipline. * Perform inspections to ensure proper installation and code compliance. * Prepare all documentation required for such inspections and punch lists in a timely and effective way. * Assist with emergency generator monthly test runs on a rotating basis. * Assist with general maintenance requirements, ie. Fire alarm, bed repair, etc. * Assist with weekend coverage on a rotating basis. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education High school diploma Required or GED equivalent. Required and Other Education Trade school training in plumbing. Preferred Required Minimum License(s) And Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. Preferred Experience & Qualifications • Must be a licensed Journeymen Plumber. • An above average knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems. • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a professional and cordial manner with co-workers, residents and vendors. • Computer literate with software such as MS Word, Excel, Builder Trend, Property Ware and Google Suite. • Ability to work effectively in both individual and group settings. • Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment and use independent judgement. • Must have a valid GA drivers license with a clean record.
