We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman or dependable Journeyman Plumber for a 4-month assignment at the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Panama City Beach, FL. This temporary position will focus on successfully closing out the remaining phases of the project. While the role is project-specific, there is potential for transition into full-time employment upon completion, leading future projects within our organization. Role The Plumbing Foreman/Journeyman is responsible for the installation and completion of plumbing systems on the project, ensuring all work meets project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities • Lead or support plumbing teams in accordance with project plans and specifications. • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to resolve field issues. • Ensure all installations comply with federal, state, and local codes, with particular attention to federal compliance standards. • Support project close-out activities, including inspections, testing, and punch-list completion. • Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety in alignment with company and federal guidelines. • Provide mentorship and guidance to on-site team members. Required Skills & Experience • High school diploma or GED required. • 4+ years of plumbing experience on commercial projects. • Previous foreman or supervisory experience preferred. • Experience working on U.S. military or government construction projects strongly preferred. Capabilities • In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, safety procedures, and industry standards. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Working Conditions • Work performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, moisture, and wind. • Regularly required to stand, kneel, bend, crawl, and work in confined or awkward positions for extended periods. • Must be able to lift and carry 50–100 pounds. Additional Information • Competitive hourly wage based on skills and experience, plus per diem. • Overtime may be required based on project deadlines. • Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and drug screen, and be eligible for base access.
