About the position Responsibilities • Install and maintain industrial piping systems in various settings including hospitals and laboratories. • Read and interpret blueprints to execute piping installations accurately. • Perform bevel joint cutting using an oxy-acetylene torch as required. • Set up and rig equipment for installation and maintenance tasks. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and code during all installations. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Journeyman Pipefitter. • Familiarity with industrial, process piping systems, particularly in hospital and heavy institutional installations. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively. • Experience with bevel joint cutting using an oxy-acetylene torch. • Demonstrated experience with equipment setting, start-up, and rigging. Nice-to-haves • Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems. • Knowledge of heating and cooling lines, chiller and boiler settings, and mechanical room operations. • Familiarity with copper sweating and brazing techniques.
