THE REGIONAL OFFICE IS LOCATED IN HANOVER, MD, WITH THE INITIAL ASSIGNMENT IN WASHINGTON, DC . THE RATE OF PAY IS $47.00/BASE + $21.51/PENSION. TOTAL PACKAGE IS $68.51 AN HOUR. THE OPPORTUNITY: INDUSTRIAL JOURNEYMAN PIPEFITTER As a Pipe Fitter with The Bell Company you will have the opportunity to use your skills to work on hospitals, laboratories, large industrial and institutional projects. Both programs are subject to vesting and/or company performance • Ongoing professional training and development • Opportunities for advancement. • Potential career growth into our certified craft program with additional benefits of increased wages, paid holidays, and vacation accrual. • Employer paid $25,000 life insurance • Elective medical with 50% Employer contribution • Elective dental, and vision benefits are available • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), $0 cost for all employees • 401(k) program with 3% employer grant The ideal candidate for our Pipe Fitter role will meet the following requirements: • Maintain the ethics and professionalism of The Bell Company in the execution of the duties and responsibilities of the position. • Candidates must have min 5 years’ experience as Journeyman Pipefitter and be familiar with industrial, process piping systems with specific attention to hospital, industrial and heavy institutional installations. • Must be familiar w/industry standard & code compliant construction practices. • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. • Bevel joint cutting with an oxy-acetylene torch is mandatory • Must demonstrate experience with equipment setting, start up and rigging. • Experience of residential nature will not be considered relevant. • Past experience in stainless steel, carbon steel, heating and cooling lines, chiller and boiler setting, hook ups and piping, mechanical room or central utility plant experience, copper sweating and brazing, must be demonstrated in the application process to be considered. Additional Requirements: • Drug test / Pre-employment knowledge & skills test required. Position Summary ACE is seeking experienced Wastewater Pipefitters for an industrial construction project in Perryman, MD. This role is ideal for skilled individuals with experience installing a wide variety of pipe materials and systems. Pipefitters will report directly to the Foreman and perform hands-on work to ensure piping systems and process equipment are installed safely, efficiently, and to ACE’s high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Assist with installation of process equipment including tanks, pumps, conveyors, centrifuges, and belt filter presses. • Install a variety of interior piping systems, including ductile iron, stainless steel, copper, and PVC. • Install buried yard piping systems, including mechanical joint and sanitary sewer ductile iron pipe, reinforced concrete pipe, HDPE, and PVC. • Install pipe appurtenances such as valves, pressure gauges, and pipe specials. • Install pipe supports and rigging for heavy items. • Fit threaded and welded pipe joints. • Conduct pipe testing and repair pipe leaks as needed. • Read and interpret construction drawings to ensure accurate installation. • Perform basic layout and surveying tasks. Qualifications • Proven experience installing a variety of piping systems and materials. • Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, joints, and supports. • Ability to read and understand construction drawings. • Highly motivated, dependable, and committed to safety and quality. • Successful completion of drug screen, physical, and E-Verify required.
