About the position Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems, including those in industrial, hospital, and heavy institutional settings. • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation and compliance with industry standards. • Perform bevel joint cutting using an oxy-acetylene torch. • Set up, start up, and rig equipment as needed. • Work with stainless steel, carbon steel, heating and cooling lines, chiller and boiler setting, hook ups and piping. • Execute tasks related to mechanical rooms or central utility plants, including copper sweating and brazing. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years' experience in pipefitting. • Familiarity with industrial, process piping systems, especially in hospital and heavy institutional installations. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Proficiency in bevel joint cutting with an oxy-acetylene torch. • Experience with equipment setting, start up, and rigging. Nice-to-haves • Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, heating and cooling lines. • Knowledge of chiller and boiler setting, hook ups and piping. • Mechanical room or central utility plant experience. • Proficiency in copper sweating and brazing.
