Journeyman Pipefitter – Full-Time SOS Plumbing & Heating is a locally owned, full-service Plumbing and Heating Contractor specializing in both residential and commercial boiler systems and plumbing systems. We are currently seeking a licensed Journeyman Pipefitter with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tradesperson who values professionalism, teamwork, and long-term career development in the mechanical trades. Requirements: • Valid Journeyman Pipefitter license • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pipefitting or mechanical system installation • Clean driving record (RMV check required) • Must pass a full background check • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping layouts, and jobsite safety protocols Key Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair pipe systems in residential and light commercial environments • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications • Perform pipe threading, soldering, and assembly of steel, copper, and related materials • Work with hydronic heating systems and mechanical equipment • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient worksite • Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and clients Preferred Skills: • Experience with various pipe materials (e.g., black iron, copper, PEX) • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Familiarity with jobsite protocols, safety procedures, and mechanical codes • Willingness to learn, grow, and take pride in quality craftsmanship • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Compensation & Benefits: • 401(k) retirement plan • Health insurance • Dental insurance • Disability insurance • Holiday pay • Vacation pay (accrues after 1 year of employment) • 90-day waiting period for benefits eligibility About Us: SOS Plumbing & Heating is a full-service contractor offering a wide range of plumbing and heating services—from boiler installations and hydronic heating to residential and commercial plumbing systems.
