Position Overview Medford Wellington is seeking a Rhode Island–licensed Pipefitter to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and can also work independently when needed. Location: Central Rhode Island (North, East, or West regions, or Warwick) Key Responsibilities • Install, repair, and modify water distribution systems, heating systems, boilers, and water heaters. • Perform work on pipefitting systems, including gas piping, venting, and high/low-pressure piping. • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing, heating, and piping system issues. • Complete preventive maintenance and respond to miscellaneous plumbing, heating, and HVAC-related service calls. • Coordinate and schedule inspections with Rhode Island plumbing and pipefitting inspectors. • Provide accurate and professional communication with customers, coworkers, and vendors. • Prepare and deliver basic quotes for plumbing and pipefitting repairs. • Work closely with office staff and materials vendors to schedule and complete projects efficiently. • Ensure compliance with Rhode Island plumbing, gas, and pipefitting codes, while maintaining a basic understanding of electrical components and jobsite safety. • Participate in the company’s on-call service rotation. Qualifications • Valid Rhode Island Pipefitter license and/Journeyman Plumber License • Valid Driver’s License. • OSHA 10 Certification. • Strong troubleshooting skills across both plumbing and pipefitting systems. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently in the field. • Willingness to continue professional development, including leadership and mentoring skills. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. • Comfortable with climbing ladders/stairs, bending or stooping, and extended walking. • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions. • Ability to operate motor vehicles, power tools, and hand tools safely. • Tolerance for frequent loud noise environments. • Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure effectively.
