We are a growing Mechanical Contractor looking for experienced Journeyman Pipefitters to join our Natural Gas Utility Division. Fraser Engineering’s work in the gas utility industry consists of Gate Station construction including all phases of General Contracting, Gas Transmission & Distribution Pipeline work, Water Bath Heater installations and all Process Piping work related to LNG Terminals. JOB SCOPE: • Perform in the Natural Gas Utility industry using related experience and knowledge standards and codes. • NGA/EWN Operator Qualifications is a requirement for all applicants. • Reads and interpret work scope, engineered drawings, and PI&Ds to determine work procedures and build method. • Works in a safe manner according to company and site safety standards. • Past welding certification history is a plus. • Qualified individuals must possess a full range of mechanical knowledge as well as the ability to fabricate and install piping and equipment as specified on drawings and PI&Ds. Must be proficient with common typed of pipe connections such as grooved, threaded, soldered, brazed and welded. • This individual should have excellent communication skills and be a team player. • A strong customer-service focus is essential to succeed in this position.Interested candidates should be willing to work flexible hours to meet the installation needs of our customers. • Able to work overtime when needed. • Must be able to successfully complete a background and DOT drug screening. Education: A High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), Vocational School Training is helpful but not required Experience: Min. 5 years + of experience in Natural Gas Utility Construction required. SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Layout & fit pipes, threaded, welded, compression, soldered, and brazed joint configurations • Layout and install structural steel pipe support members • Material range: Stainless Steels, Carbon Steels, PVC, HDPE, Copper • NGA Operator Qualification a plus ++ (this is a requirement and will need to be obtained by candidates) Certificates & Licenses required: Massachusetts Pipefitter License (NH, RI, CT licenses are a plus) Other Requirements: Valid Drivers License - Class D & OSHA 10 Certification
