Journey-Level Plumber/Pipefitter/Steamfitter

**Overview:** We are seeking a journey-level professional to join our Facilities Services team as a Plumber/Pipefitter/Steamfitter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing hands-on plumbing, pipefitting, welding, and steamfitting tasks to maintain the essential systems that keep our buildings, facilities, and equipment running smoothly. **Responsibilities:** • Perform journey-level plumbing, pipefitting, welding, and steamfitting tasks to maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and systems • Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing, pipefitting, and steamfitting issues to ensure smooth operation of facilities and equipment • Collaborate with other tradespeople and facilities staff to ensure effective maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment • *Qualifications:** • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter OR full journey status as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter in a union OR four years applicable work experience • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards • Journey-level plumbing or pipe-fitter certification preferred at time of hire • Plumbing/Pipefitting/Steam fitting experience working in an institutional or commercial environment within the last 7 years • *Benefits:** • Comprehensive benefits package, including health care and dental care options, retirement plans, long-term disability insurance, paid time off, professional development, and work/life quality programs • Opportunity to work with a top public research institution and contribute to making a positive impact in the lives of others • Competitive salary range of $5,117 to $5,929, with scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement • Tuition waiver for many academic classes offered on campus for eligible employees • Hiring incentive payment of up to $2,500.00 for eligible candidates • Referral incentive program for eligible WSU employees
