**Overview:** The University is seeking a Journey-Level Plumber/Pipefitter/Steamfitter to lead hands-on plumbing, pipefitting, welding, and steamfitting tasks. As a journey-level professional, you will be responsible for altering, repairing, and maintaining essential systems that keep our buildings, facilities, and equipment running smoothly. **Responsibilities:** • Perform hands-on plumbing, pipefitting, welding, and steamfitting tasks • Alter, repair, and maintain essential systems that keep our buildings, facilities, and equipment running smoothly • Troubleshoot and solve problems related to plumbing, pipefitting, and steamfitting • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects and maintain facilities • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations • *Qualifications:** • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter OR full journey status as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter in a union OR four years applicable work experience • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards • Journey-level plumbing or pipe-fitter certification preferred at time of hire • Plumbing/Pipefitting/Steam fitting experience working in an institutional or commercial environment within the last 7 years • *Benefits:** • Comprehensive benefits package including paid sick and vacation leave, paid holidays, medical, dental, life and disability insurance package for employees and dependents, retirement, deferred compensation, optional supplemental retirement accounts, training and development, and employee tuition waiver • Competitive salary range: $5,398 to $6,259 (Steps G-M) with regular salary increments • Opportunity to participate in a hiring incentive payment of up to $2,500.00 • Eligibility for tuition waiver for many academic classes offered on campus
