As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and industrial buildings. You will work independently or as part of a team to ensure plumbing systems are installed and maintained according to industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and local codes and regulations. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Plumber Foreman

Job Summary Supervises and participates in the installation, repair, assembly, and maintenance of water, sewage, drainage, air, gas, and related equipment and ensures compliance with codes, department instruction, work schedules, and quality standards; requires personnel, budgetary, and work order management. This is considered an essential position and may require storm duty during hurricanes and other threats. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Installs, repairs, and cleans sewer, water, gas, vacuum lines, including pumps and valves located inside and outside of the building; to include all pipe styles and irrigation lines. • Installs and repairs urinals, water closets, lavatory and sinks, drinking fountains, and water heaters, sprinkler heads and other plumbing related fixtures as needed. • Supervises staff to include hiring, discipline, work order allocations, scheduling, and review of workmanship. • Manages the department budget so that billing occurs in a timely fashion and the budget does not run in a deficit. • Responsible for timely Scheduling and Completing of work order from computer and I-pad. • Coordinates repairs or replacement of Water and Gas Meters in support of Energy Management. • Ability to sweat 2” copper pipefittings. In addition, use most innovated and up to date methods of making repairs. • Performs other duties as assigned.
