Weekly Per Diem! Location: Marinette, WI Pipefitter Maritime - Silver Braze Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipefitting and be comfortable working on Shipyards. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Pipefitter - Silver Braze will work closely with other tradespeople and must possess excellent mechanical knowledge and the ability to read schematics. This position is responsible for pipefitter equipment, parts, interiors and exteriors of ships, and shipyard buildings. Pipefitter Maritime - Silver Braze Responsibilities: • Follows directions under intermittent supervision. • Maintain a commitment to and promote the Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety Policies. • Abide by all organizational policies and procedures. • Cut, thread, or bend pipes to specifications. • Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment, according to blueprints. • Assemble or secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, or threading joints. • Measure and mark pipes for cutting or threading. • Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods. • Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications. • Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures. • Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines or equipment. • Cut or bore holes in structures. • Install automatic controls to regulate pipe systems. • Shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections, using valve keys or wrenches. • Remove and replace worn components. • Operate motorized pumps to remove water from flooded manholes, basements, or facility floors. • Diagnose and solve problems of all kinds. • Troubleshoot problems with all equipment as it arises. • Proper storage of equipment. • May be assigned miscellaneous tasks outside craft as required. • Attendance is an essential function of the job. • Ability and willingness to engage in highly energetic pursuits on the waterfront. Pipefitter Maritime - Silver Braze Experience • Proven experience as a Pipefitter within the Marine Industry. • Silver Brazing experience • 5+ years of experience preferred • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. • Familiarity with stick welding techniques is preferred. • Basic math skills are essential for measuring and cutting pipes accurately. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working with various materials used in pipe fabrication is a plus.
