We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Pipefitter to install, assemble, fabricate, and maintain piping systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of pipes (e.g., copper, steel, plastic) and systems such as heating, cooling, steam, and hydraulic. This role requires precise measuring, cutting, and threading of pipes, and a strong understanding of blueprints, safety regulations, and local codes. Key Responsibilities: • Pipe Installation: Install and repair piping systems used for steam, water, gas, and chemicals. • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine layout of piping systems. • Pipe Fabrication: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required angle using hand tools, machines, or power tools. • Welding and Brazing: Assemble and weld pipe sections, supports, and related equipment, following all safety guidelines. • System Testing: Conduct pressure tests on piping systems to identify leaks and troubleshoot issues. • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety standards, OSHA regulations, and local codes to ensure proper installation and function. • Troubleshooting: Inspect systems to detect problems, and repair or replace defective parts when necessary. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked for each project. • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair tools, equipment, and machinery required for the job.
