QA​/QC Inspector

Overview Position Summary: Under general supervision, applies skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of materials, equipment and installation of materials and equipment to the company or Client specifications. Performs inspection of various project activities; generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities; Notifies management of significant problems; Completes documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities. Responsibilities • Essential Job Functions: • Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures • Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during the daily activities of the overall construction on large scale wind, solar, and industrial projects. Included but not limited to; roads, environmental (SWPPP), excavations, concrete, rebar, substations, transmission lines, solar racking and PV installation, underground utilities, wind turbine installation, steel erection, welding, piping, valves, pumps, compressors and a wide variety of other mechanical and electrical equipment • Demonstrates good organizational, planning and time management skills • Must plan and conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC and QA data are properly and accurately recorded • On a daily basis monitor and record all work scope being executed and follow reporting criteria as determined by FQM and/or the client, as needed. • Prevents deficiencies while working closely with field operating teams, through pre-construction quality control inspections • Detects deficiencies and addressed deficiencies in a timely and effective manner • Work closely with the field quality staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction understands and follows the QA/QC requirements • Interface with field supervision to maintain an open line of communication and reporting monitor job progress, schedules and subcontractor performance • Maintain complete and accurate records during inspections so they can be transferred to permanent hard copy and/or electronic files • Inspect the work and establish punch lists • Capable of determining calibration status of measuring and test equipment • Ensures daily task schedules are met to meet the project schedule • Interacts cross-functionally with craft personnel and other team members • Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements Education and Work Experience Requirements: • Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field • Or High School Graduate or equivalent plus 1-3 years’ experience in related construction field • Inspection related certifications (i.e., NDE) preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company’s Zero Injury principles • Ability to independently perform work • Self-starter, organized and have good interpersonal skills • Read, analyze and interpret blueprints and technical procedures • Write daily reports and document project activities • Effectively collect and record field data to assure activities are conforming to corporate Quality Control procedures • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference and volume • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry • Ability to solve problems individually and in a team setting Working Environment: • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and extreme heat • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud What's in it for you Financial Wellbeing • Compensation: $19.00-$22.00/hourly, commensurate with experience • Competitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase • 401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) • Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care) Health & Wellness • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and children • Diabetes Management, Telehealth Coverage, Prescription Drug…
