You will also be tasked with fabricating metal parts when necessary, as well as carrying out inspections to guarantee the safe and effective operation of the machinery. • Carry out the installation, maintenance, and fixing of waste compactors at client sites. • Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as inspections, lubrication, and replacing hydraulic fluids. • Inspect units for stress fractures and potential safety risks. • Perform necessary repairs on electrical connections, circuits, solenoids, pressure switches, and wiring when required. • Use gauges to manipulate the operation of equipment and modify the pace of cycles. • Install and exchange complete units utilizing the correct tools. • Construct hoppers, chutes, platforms, stairs, and guardrails. • Evaluate, diagnose, and fix hydraulic tubes and mechanisms. • Carry out necessary maintenance duties on location as needed. • Restore items by disassembling, aligning, reforming, and reconstructing components with manual tools and cutting implements. • Drive the service truck safely to and from designated service points. • Provide guidance to on-site staff regarding correct operational protocols and verify compliance with safety regulations. Necessary Qualifications and Expertise: • Two years of prior involvement in welding, electrical, or hydraulic tasks is required. • Proficiency in interpreting electrical and hydraulic diagrams. Preferred Qualifications: • Possession of a high school diploma from an accredited institution or an equivalent GED credential is required. • Skill in stick/MIG welding and operation of yellow machinery. • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting three-phase electric motors and general electrical circuits. • Knowledge of hydraulics. Work Environment: • Necessary to utilize fine finger movements and motor coordination throughout the majority of the workday. • Occasionally manipulate items weighing under 30 pounds and engage in physical activities. • Exposure to workplace hazards like lacerations, scalds, or hazardous substances can happen from time to time. • Outdoor work in compactor repair environments involves exposure to dirt, smells, loud noises, and various weather conditions. Compactor Technician/Welder 1st Shift - Full-time

**I. Job Summary** Installs, services, and repairs refuse compactors at the customer's location. • *II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. + Must have general welding, electrical and hydraulic skills and must be able to fabricate metal on site as needed; must also be able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics. + Performs routinely scheduled services to the refuse compactor at the customer's locations. Inspects, greases, changes/filters hydraulic oil, and changes filters on the refuse compactors. Adds hydraulic oil as needed. + Checks the units for stress cracks and other safety hazards. + Checks the electrical connections, replaces the circuits, solenoids and pressure switches and repairs wiring as needed. + Operates the units, checks the pressure with a gauge and adjusts the cycle speed as needed. + Installs and replaces total units. + Uses a hammer drill to anchor the units and mount the guard rails. + Fabricates hopper, shoots, platforms, steps and handrails. + Tests, diagnoses and repairs hydraulic hoses and systems. + Performs service calls to make site repairs. + Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using a cutting torch, porta-power, sledge hammer, and hand tools. + Maneuvers the service truck safely to and from the service location. + Instructs site personnel on the proper operational procedures and has a safety standard sheet signed by the site supervisor. • *III.
