Duties and responsibilities • Review and comprehend design drawings, design narrative, specifications, sketches, product data, submittals and design data information. • Planning and lay-out of a ductwork and/or equipment system prior to installation. • Knowledge of the system start-up and assisting with the Service Technicians to facilitate a complete and working system. • Knowledge and skill of ACR piping systems, refrigerant evacuation process & proper testing of system for start-up. (Split Systems and some packaged DX systems) This is a plus but not required. • Applying proper tools of the trade. • Maintaining and proper use of tools of the trade. • Applying company Safety Plan and other pertinent policies. • Keeping appropriate records, such as expense reports, daily reports, time sheets, & other company requirements as they apply. • Flexibility to work extended hours or flexible hours as the projects require. • Flexibility for out of town projects (Out of Town expenses paid for by Sack) Qualifications • 3 + years of experience as a Commercial/Industrial HVAC System mechanic. • Installation of ACR piping, condensate drains and ductwork systems is a plus but not required • Proficient at reading design drawings, submittals, specifications and product data. • Proficient at compiling a materials list from a set of design documents. • Strong communication and documentation skills. • Must have a valid driver’s license with dependable transportation. • CFC or Universal Refrigerant Certification Preferred.
