We are looking to add a skilled SHEET METAL FABRICATOR/PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR for both shop and field service projects to our Horner Fan and Fabrication team as we continue to grow and expand our business. The Position: Set up and operate machinery such as shear, press brake, punch press, drill press, and tapping arm. Responsibilities include: • Operate fabrication and machine shop machinery and equipment (e.g. Press Brake, Metal Band Saw, Milling Machine Lathe) • Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. • Load press brake to achieve print specifications. • Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. • Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation. • Remove burrs, sharp edges, or scale from work piece. • Perform machine maintenance to keep equipment in good working condition. • Keep a safe, clean, and organized workspace. • Work in accordance with health and safety guidelines and regulations.Requirements and Skills: • High School Diploma or GED • Minimum of 1+ year related experience in fabrication of stainless and/or galvanized steel • Basic math and reading skills • Ability to comprehend and carry out detailed written or oral instructions • Basic computer skills • Mechanical repair experience is a plus • Welding experience is a plus • Physical ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
