Sheet Metal Fabricator​/Press Brake Operator

We are looking to add a skilled SHEET METAL FABRICATOR/PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR for both shop and field service projects to our Horner Fan and Fabrication team as we continue to grow and expand our business. The Position: Set up and operate machinery such as shear, press brake, punch press, drill press, and tapping arm. Responsibilities include: • Operate fabrication and machine shop machinery and equipment (e.g. Press Brake, Metal Band Saw, Milling Machine Lathe) • Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. • Load press brake to achieve print specifications. • Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. • Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation. • Remove burrs, sharp edges, or scale from work piece. • Perform machine maintenance to keep equipment in good working condition. • Keep a safe, clean, and organized workspace. • Work in accordance with health and safety guidelines and regulations.Requirements and Skills: • High School Diploma or GED • Minimum of 1+ year related experience in fabrication of stainless and/or galvanized steel • Basic math and reading skills • Ability to comprehend and carry out detailed written or oral instructions • Basic computer skills • Mechanical repair experience is a plus • Welding experience is a plus • Physical ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs. Fabricator

Job Title: Fabricator Job Description As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding components for chemical tanks. You will start each task by receiving a print or drawing with a bill of material, then proceed to cut raw material with a saw, put it through a bending machine, and finally use a fusing machine. You will also perform all layout work to ensure dimensions are accurate before welding. Responsibilities • Fabricate and weld plastic for chemical tanks. • Receive and interpret prints/drawings with a bill of material. • Cut raw materials according to specifications using a saw. • Operate bending and fusing machines for material shaping. • Perform layout work to ensure correct dimensions before welding. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of fabrication experience from on-the-job or hobby experience. • At least 1 year of experience in shop math, including adding and subtracting fractions. • Proficiency in reading a tape measure. Shift, Hours & Pay • 6:00AM to 4:30PM Monday to Thursday • 6:00AM to 2:30PM Friday • 6:00AM to Noon on Saturdays if needed • $20 to $25/hr based on experience Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
