Job Description A Sheet Metal Journeyman and Foreman is responsible for daily work at sites. Work includes all types of sheet metal. Individual should be able to read and understand blueprints, communicate effectively with all other persons on the job-site, including our sub-contractors, and represent our company in a professional manner. Responsibilities and Duties Able to layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems. • Reads blueprints and interprets specifications. • Installs hangars or supports for systems. • Assists with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment as necessary. • Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed on equipment. • Follows all OSHA and TPMC standards for safety. Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed. • Offloading deliveries and loading truck at job sites Qualifications and Skills • 8 years of commercial /industrial experience. • Ability to read blueprints • Knowledge of general sheet metal and HVAC installation • Working knowledge of all hand and power tools • Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity • Basic math skills, basic computer skills, read & interpret submittals • Ability to run multiple small crews on the same jobsite • Ability to forecast and schedule work • Ability to determine materials required for jobsite and order Requirements: As a condition of employment, all employees must furnish and utilize a smart phone with internet capability and access for daily work related time keeping purposes.
