About the position The Sheet Metal Press Brake Operator position at Cincinnati Ventilating Co involves operating press brake machines to fabricate sheet metal components. The role requires a solid understanding of press brake fundamentals, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency in setting up and programming machines. The operator will work primarily on the first shift and is expected to maintain high-quality standards in manufacturing processes. Responsibilities • Operate press brake machines to fabricate sheet metal components. , • Read and interpret blueprints for accurate fabrication. , • Perform setups and create programs for press brake operations. , • Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers and protractors for quality inspection. , • Maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process. , • Assist in training new operators as needed. Requirements • US Citizenship required. , • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating press brakes preferred. , • Forklift Certification is required. , • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of sheet metal fabrication. , • Excellent math skills for measurements and calculations. , • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Nice-to-haves • Experience with water jet, lasers, and punch press is helpful but not required. , • Familiarity with Cincinnati and Accupress Brakes is preferred. Hiring: Sheet Metal Mechanic If interested, text/call Nathan at 859/428/8199 Job Description Join our team as a Sheet Metal Mechanic, where you will play a vital role in supporting heavy jet aircraft maintenance, including A-checks, C-checks, and more. You will work from Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and Service Bulletins to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities - Read, interpret, and work from Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and Service Bulletins. - Assist, guide, train, oversee, and evaluate others. - Maintain attentiveness to aircraft scheduled/assigned job budgets and meet completion timelines. - Complete skin repairs requiring doublers or triplers with complex contours. - Perform complex repairs and replacements requiring substantial disassembly, such as wing spar and keel beam. - Document all work performed according to manuals and regulations. - Adhere to General Work Requirements and comply with environmental health and safety policies. - Remove and install aircraft components as needed. - Perform minor structural repairs on composite components. - Conduct hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures. - Assist with complex structural repairs on or off aircraft. - Operate ground support equipment as required. - Assist with aircraft component repair and mechanical/electrical removals and installations. - Inspect confined areas of the airframe. - Assist in designing, modifying, and welding metal fixtures as necessary. - Provide time estimates as required. Essential Skills - 3+ years of experience in sheet metal and riveting. - Experience in commercial aviation, specifically with Airbus and Boeing aircraft. - Familiarity with MRO processes.
