Job Details Job Location Dayton, OH Position Type Full Time Description Sheet Metal Foreman MSD is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Foreman to oversee the installation, repair, and removal of HVAC systems on job sites. In this role, you will guide and mentor a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations while meeting project deadlines and quality standards. As the supervisor, you will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage material orders, conduct spot inspections, and ensure that all work is done safely and efficiently. This position requires a proactive leader who can not only manage tasks and schedules but also develop and train your team to reach the next level of expertise. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring smooth project execution, customer satisfaction, and employee development. Minimum Requirements • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Construction Field concentrating in HVAC/Sheet Metal required • High School Diploma or GED or 15 Semester (22 Quarter) hours college level education • Completion of 4 years' OJT or State certified apprenticeship program • Thorough understanding of Construction related HVAC/Sheet Metal • Unencumbered US Driver's License • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English • Possess (or able to obtain) a Journeyman Certificate from granting authorities Job Duties: • Oversee installation, repair, or removal of equipment, supplies, and materials on-site while ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. • Instruct and mentor subordinate personnel, providing training opportunities to develop their skills. • Coordinate with internal/external personnel and other trades to ensure project requirements are met and schedule crew duties. • Conduct spot inspections, submit reports, and manage supply orders to maintain project efficiency. • Ensure team members complete timecards correctly and maintain necessary certifications and licensure. • Prioritize safety practices and ensure the well-being of all employees on-site. HVAC Sheet Metal Journeyman

MSD, Inc. is looking for a HVAC Sheet Metal Journeyman to join their team! This role will require travel within 50 miles of your location. Minimum Requirements of the Sheet Metal Journeyman are: • 5+ years recent experience, post-training, as a Sheet Metal Technician in a construction environment • Successfully completed state-certified Sheet Metal Apprenticeship program or 4 years On-the-job training • High school diploma or GED or 15 semester (22 Quarter) hours college-level education (preferred) • Knowledge of all aspects of HVAC duct work installation and removal • Unencumbered US Drivers license • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required Key Job Duties of the Sheet Metal Journeyman are: • Installs HVAC equipment, to include duct work and associated equipment • Mentors assigned apprentices • Direct and/or monitor activities of team members to ensure accurate, timely project completion • Coordinate with key personnel to confirm appropriate timelines • Instruct apprentice-level personnel on proper procedures for installation of HVAC systems, including duct work and other associated equipment • Order and/or receive materials, supplies, and components for assigned job • Organize area of responsibility on job site to permit efficient operations • Conduct installation/removal activities in accordance with organizational guidelines and procedures • Develop appropriate on-site methodology to ensure safety of all personnel • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and/or federal codes and regulations regarding installation of HVAC equipment and materials • Make every reasonable effort to ensure safe practices and get every employee home safely Benefits: • FREE Training and Education • PTO • 401(k) match • Profit Sharing • Competitive Medical, Vision, and Dental • Health Savings Account match • Company paid Short- and Long-Term Disability • Company paid Life Insurance Policy The HVAC Sheet Metal Journeyman installs and/or removes heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial clients.
