Overview HVAC DUCTWORK EXPERIENCE A MUST! We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, machining, and blueprint reading, with experience operating various CNC machines and hand tools. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision manufacturing and quality craftsmanship. The position requires mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to produce high-quality sheet metal components. Duties • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for sheet metal fabrication projects. • Operate CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other CNC equipment such as plasma cutters and EDM machines to shape metal components accurately. • Set up and program CNC machinery, including CNC programming and troubleshooting during production runs. • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, and welding tools to form and assemble sheet metal parts. • Perform quality inspections utilizing micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and other tooling to ensure parts meet specifications. • Conduct machining operations with GD&T standards to maintain tight tolerances. • Handle material movement using forklifts or cranes safely within the manufacturing environment. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. • Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring proper fitment of fabricated parts. • Support continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining equipment calibration and reporting issues promptly. Requirements • Proven experience with sheet metal fabrication including welding, machining, and assembly processes. • Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, EDM machines, press brakes, stamping presses, and related tooling. • Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. • Familiarity with GD&T principles for precision measurement and quality inspection. • Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments effectively. • Experience with forklift operation and crane handling preferred but not mandatory. • Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and practices. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Prior experience in electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, or CNC programming is a plus but not required.
