Fabricator Main Duties Include: Must be present daily. Consistent, reliable attendance is essential. Checking customer drawings and work instructions for accuracy, quantities, revisions, etc. Fabrication – MIG / TIG welding, including reading fabrication drawings. Advising management of any requirements for materials and/or components required to complete jobs. Making cut lists from drawings for saw, plasma and laser operators. Fitting up and tack welding weldments. Making jigs or fixtures for higher quantity orders. Checking dimensions of assemblies or parts, overall quality, appearance, and soundness of welds.
