Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd shift

Southwark Metal Manufacturing, Fremont Division is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on the 2nd shift! Enjoy four 10-hour days. The ideal Maintenance Mechanic must possess manual dexterity, an eye for detail and problem-solving, knowledge of electrical components and mathematics, mechanical aptitude, and respect for safety precautions and rules. • Responsibilities: • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment. • Perform hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair on equipment. • Basic shop skills that include welding/metal fabrication. • Ensure the work area is clean, following good housekeeping practices. • Adhere to standard safety practices, including wearing protective equipment as required. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager. Requirements: • Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays.) • Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to make repairs.) • Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, and relays.) • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns. • Experience with troubleshooting (diagnostics, problem-solving, etc.) • Experience with reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics.) • The ability to read, write and understand English and have basic math skills to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
