Sheet Metal Maintenance Worker

Sheet Metal Maintenance Worker Location: Fort Leonard Wood, MO Employment Class: Full-Time Regular FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Hourly Position Summary: Advancia Government Services (a federal government contractor) seeks Sheet Metal Maintenance Worker who will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of sheet metal systems and components including but not limited to ductwork, roofing, and custom metal fabrications. This position requires a skilled tradesperson with knowledge of sheet metal work, the ability to troubleshoot and repair systems, and a focus on safety and precision. Position is contingent upon award of contract. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain sheet metal components such as ductwork, roofing, siding, and custom metal parts in a variety of industrial and commercial settings • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of sheet metal systems to identify signs of wear, corrosion, or damage. • Cut, shape, and fabricate sheet metal materials to the required specifications using hand tools, power tools, and machinery • Identify and resolve mechanical issues in sheet metal systems, including HVAC ducts, exhaust systems, and other related infrastructure • Follow all safety protocols, including wearing PPE and ensuring a safe working environment while handling materials and operating equipment • Assist in the modification or upgrade of existing sheet metal systems to meet new standards, codes, or efficiency requirements • Respond to urgent repair requests related to sheet metal systems, especially during equipment failure or emergency situations Education & Experience Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Proven experience in sheet metal installation, fabrication, and repair Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to sheet metal work • Proficient in the use of sheet metal tools and equipment • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills • Knowledge of safety standards and ability to maintain a safe work environment • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong communication skills • Attention to detail Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands • Involves shift work that can include on-call requirements for emergency situations • Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required depending on the needs of the facility • Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions • Work may be required in residential, commercial, and industrial settings • Will involve walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time • May be required to work in confined spaces • Work may involve lifting and moving of heavy items, up to 50 lbs • Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment Advancia Government Services (AGS) is an equal opportunity employer.
