Overview We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes and be proficient in operating various saws to cut materials to precise specifications. This role is essential in ensuring that production runs smoothly and that all products meet the highest quality standards. The candidate should know multiple positions in a fabrication shop setting. Duties • Operate and maintain saws, ensuring they are set up correctly for each job. • Perform quality inspections on cut materials using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers. • Collaborate with the machining team to optimize cutting processes and improve efficiency. • Utilize CNC programming for automated cutting tasks when necessary. • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. • Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures. Experience • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in roles involving machining or cutting operations. • Familiarity with various tools and machinery, including laser cutting, stamping presses, and forklifts. • Strong knowledge of tooling and quality inspection processes is preferred. • Experience with programming CNC machines is a plus. • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately. • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to ensure high-quality output.
