This role will support both our HVAC installation and service departments by keeping all stock metal levels adequate and providing custom sheet metal pieces in a timely manner when requested on a job. This role will help with miscellaneous warehouse functions when sheet metal needs to not dictate a full day worth of work. Responsibilities: • Build all metal need for upcoming install jobs • Keep stock levels above minimum levels (bases, standard drops, canvases, caps, slips, drives) • Make on demand metal for coil swap outs called in by the field techs • Make safety pans for water heaters when needed • Make metal for duct modification jobs • Assist making the metal for commercial jobs • Train necessary personnel in sheet metal • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop • Ensure safe practices are being followed by others working in the shop • Account for all metal being used • Assist with boiler prefab • Perform standard maintenance on machinery • Set up any major repairs with the necessary people after notifying management • Assist the warehouse personnel with any needed items • Assist the HVAC Install office with data entry Qualifications: • Proficient with sheet metal layout and fabrication, especially for HVAC projects • Can understand needs via phone conversations and/or pictures • Can operate and/or learn the plasma cutter with little to no guidance • Ability to prioritize the needs throughout the day • Critical thinking skills to maintain and create better processes/procedures Salary and Benefits: • Our benefits are exceptional and include paid vacation time, paid holidays, 401K matching program up to 4%, and 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family.
