Job Description The Technician is responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. This role involves working with various sheet metal equipment, ensuring installations are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities A sheet metal worker is a professional who makes, installs and reconditions sheet metal products, such as various elements that are part of the heating, cooling and ventilation systems, as well as roofing and drainage systems Sheet metal workers can specialize in a single aspect of sheet metal work, like fabrication, maintenance or installation, but usually have knowledge and experience in all three. Depending on their exact specialty, sheet metal workers have work duties that may include: •Manufacturing and installing various sheet metal products, such as air and heat ducts, sheet metal buildings and roofs •Measuring, marking and laying out sheets of metal for specific jobs •Operating various computerized tools that precisely cut, bend or straighten the metal sheets •Polishing metal areas like rough surfaces or the seams and joints between two sheets of metals •Welding different sheets of metal together •Reading and applying work specifications •Assemble and installs ductwork, dampers, louvers, registers, grilles, and diffusers. •Assist in the setting of equipment such as roof top units, chillers, boilers and air handling units. •Secures equipment and related ductwork. •Fabrication work in shop will include cutting, fabricating, insulating, forming and assembling ductwork (round and rectangular). •Shop work will also include loading and unloading of ductwork, equipment and tools for transport to and from jobsites. Sheet Metal Mechanic- HVAC

Summary Feldkamp Mechanical is looking for a new Sheet Metal Mechanic to help us with a variety of construction projects. In this role, you primarily work on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, with a focus on ductwork. You are responsible for prefabricating certain portions of the ducting, but you also do much of the duct installation on-site with power and hand tools. Our ideal candidate has experience with sheet metal, whether on a construction site or on an assembly line. You should also have completed an apprenticeship or a technical school program. Key Responsibilities: • Install ductwork for new HVAC construction projects • Repair existing systems • Make plans and material estimates for each project • Test and examine systems for quality • Advise less specialized workers on the site Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Technical school certificate or completed apprenticeship highly preferred • Experience with sheet metal and a variety of tools • Manual dexterity and physical stamina • Construction experience • Certificate from the International Training Institute for the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Industry (preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Lexington, KY 40506: Relocate before starting work (Required) WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS • Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. • When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud. • Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. SHEETMETAL JOURNEYMAN

Responsibilities for this position also include: • Able to layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems. • Reads blueprints and interprets specifications. • Installs hangars or supports for systems. • Assists with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment as necessary. • Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed on equipment. • Follows all OSHA and TPMC standards for safety.
