Overview We are seeking a Plumber (Days) at Riverview Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Gadsden, AL. A Plumber with Boiler Water Chemistry skills manages boiler operations, including water chemistry, and performs plumbing tasks. They monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels, adjust valves to maintain correct levels, and ensure safe operation. They also install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances. Employment Type: Full Time Shifts Available: Days Hours: 7:00AM - 3:30PM Monday - Friday, and every 6th weekend Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, AL Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: • Health, dental, and vision insurance options • Paid vacation, sick time and holidays • Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options • Employer 401K options • Tuition reimbursement options • Life, disability, and other insurance options • Many other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Boiler Operation: • Monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels. • Activate valves to adjust water, air, and fuel flow. • Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts. • Maintain logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity. • Perform chemistry checks, such as titrations and pH level testing. • Maintain ALAR water treatment equipment. Plumbing Installation and Repair: • Install, modify, and repair plumbing systems, including water, gas, and drainage lines. • Install and repair fixtures and appliances. • Unclog drains and fixtures. • Repair leaks and broken pipes. • Replace pipes, valves, and other components. Maintenance and Support: • Inspect equipment to ensure efficient operation and safety. • Check and lubricate pumps and valves. • Change filters. • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies. • Perform routine maintenance tasks. • Read blueprints and prepare job estimates. • Maintain job records and prepare reports. Safety: • Follow established safety procedures and techniques. • Identify and correct unsafe conditions in the work area. Skills and Qualifications: • Knowledge of boiler operation safety practices and procedures. • Skill in operating boiler equipment and hand/power tools. • Ability to read gauges, meters, and charts. • Familiarity with plumbing codes and regulations. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Good communication and customer service skills. Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
