Plumbing Apprentice/Helper

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic plumbing apprentice/helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding and experience utilizing hand/power tools. The candidate needs to possess the ability to work as part of a team and complete designated tasks independently. Preferred candidates will possess basic understanding of mechanical systems and proven experience with construction type environments. This is an entry level position with the opportunity to learn the plumbing trade while working in a full time role. The role involves assisting with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings under the supervision of the Plumber on site. The role also involves warehouse/shop duties such as stocking inventory and other tasks that may arise. Candidate must have a clean driving record and valid drivers license. Must be able to reliably commute to Dayton, OH 45424. Duties • Assist with install, repair, and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, pipes, and systems. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely & effectively for various plumbing tasks. • Manage heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. • Adhere to safety protocols while performing duties. • Stock inventory and organize materials • Transport materials to jobsites • Shop duties such as supply pick up and other various tasks deemed necessary. • Collaborate with team members on projects to ensure timely completion of plumbing projects, installations and repairs. Experience • Mechanical knowledge is a plus. • Familiarity with construction site environments is strongly preferred. • Experience with power tools/hand tools is strongly preferred. • Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Skills • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Takes direction well. • Positive attitude with willingness to help in whatever the team needs to function efficiently. • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and use of basic hand/power tools. • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards. • Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members. • Required to possess a current State of Ohio drivers license with a clean insurable driving record. Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Plumber to join our team! We offer competitive pay & Benefits, no 24 hour on-call, family owned & operated. There are no sales quotas to meet here. This is not a sales position, we are searching for plumbing tradesmen, not plumbing salesmen. This role requires a hands-on approach that involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing and maintaining plumbing systems and drains in residential and commercial settings. The candidate must be able work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The Plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with local codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a current a Journeyman's plumbing license and have a strong background in service with both residential and commercial experience. Minimum 5 years recent plumbing service experience with a qualified licensed plumbing contractor.
