We’re looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and problem-solving. In this role, you’ll tackle a wide range of plumbing projects that help maintain safe, reliable facilities. We provide the tools and support to help you do your best work and continue growing in your trade. Facilities and Services is the internal department overseeing the growth, maintenance, repair and changes of the facilities, infrastructure and grounds of campus and satellite locations. Campus Maintenance staff has technical expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, mechanics, building repair work, relocation, and grounds. Services include the operation, maintenance, repair and remodeling of university buildings and grounds and the operation and repair of certain types of equipment. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Job Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements of plumbing, heating, cooling, water, and sewer systems on campus and the local agricultural research stations. Complete remodel projects and new installations. Perform utility locates. Respond to building plumbing or utility system problems on a rotating on-call basis.
