Job Description: QED Systems, an established marine engineering, planning, and ship modernization firm, is seeking qualified individuals experienced in marine mechanical applications. The candidate must be able to comply with all applicable safety regulations, work under industrial repair conditions, work in confined spaces, and climb vertical/inclined ladders. Candidate must be able to lay out, in both shop and shipboard environments, and form sub-assemblies, parts, and other shapes as required by drawings and sketches. Install and fit parts, assemblies, pipes, fittings and valves. Job Requirements: Experienced (5+ years) Pipefitter with a complete understanding of production processes and specialty trades functions and tools. The candidate must have experience using hand tools, fixtures, and shop machinery as required. The candidate must have knowledge and experience in brazing and welding procedures. The candidate must also be able to read, interpret, and follow blueprints or technical drawings and understand associated welding symbols. Have completed an apprenticeship program or demonstrate by doing the experience outline above. All applicants must provide a resume, be eligible for a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credential. Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight will be determined by the specific job but no less than 30 pounds. Some travel is possible. Education Requirements: High School Diploma required. ACIBuilds.com Summary/Objective: Lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains commercial and industrial production and processing piping systems Essential Functions: • Interprets sketches, blue prints and isometric drawings • Cleans, bevels, prepares and installs pipe with various fittings and weld joints • Performs layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings • Installs pipe and related materials and equipment • Inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions • Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers • Cuts pipe using, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine • Threads pipe using threading machine • Secures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools • Tests piping systems • Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies • Assists in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation • Maintains tools and equipment • Relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job • Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility: No Required: • 3-5 years' experience as a pipe fitter; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience • NCCER certified • Ability to sketch complex isometric drawings with minimal supervision • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills • Must adhere to all company policy and procedures • Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following: Work Environment: • May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness • May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust • May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights Physical Demands: • This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools • While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. • Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms • Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus Travel: • May require travel (typically not overnight) Preferred: • Prior military experience • HS diploma or GED equivalent Visit us at www.acibuilds.com for more info.

Responsibilities The Journeyman 1-Refrigeration is responsible for installation of refrigeration systems following customer specifications, applicable building code and proper piping practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Provides support on construction job by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including electrical wiring as required to complete the project. · Provides the required installation of pipe hangers as directed by the foreman. · Provides construction support by welding and slip hosing copper pipes, and assists the foreman as needed on the job. · Provides support by handing cooler box coils and installing new supermarket refrigeration systems or remodeling existing supermarket refrigeration systems. · Performs other duties as assigned.
