Summary: Pipe fitter lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems by performing the following duties. Rules and Regulations and Site-Specific Rules and Regulations; works within current regulations • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions in a cordial and professional manner • Cut and bevel carbon steel and stainless for proper weld joint. • Cut and thread pipe for thread joint connections. • Use saws and cutting torches to craft proper pipe specs • Secure piping and install hanger systems. • Repair and maintain pipe systems and components • Resolve problems such as changing drawings, relocations, obstacle interference, etc. Supervisory Responsibilities: Must be able to properly install piping systems level, straight, and plum. Must be able to read and interpret pipe drawings and sketches. While working, may be required to oversee crew of 2-3 workers and will be held responsible for completion and quality of work.
