This role is responsible for pipefitting, mechanical maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an industrial environment and able to follow site-specific safety and environmental practices while maintaining plant equipment and systems. What you will be doing: • Perform pipefitting tasks including fit-up, threaded fabrication, flange assembly, and torqueing • Select proper materials and pipe supports • Read blueprints and rough iso sketches • Operate pipe benders, rebuild valves, and install/maintain piping systems • Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment • Operate equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, drill presses, grinders, saws, and assorted hand tools • Use computer systems to track maintenance tasks • Wear full-face respirators and work under supplied air as required • Follow work permits, PPE protocols, and lockout/tagout procedures • Maintain shop housekeeping and promptly clean spills • Identify and report safety or environmental concerns and participate in incident investigations Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience • Certification in Pipefitting • Proficiency in: Threaded pipe fabrication, Pipe fit-up, Flange assembly and torqueing • Experience with valves, tubing, and pipe system troubleshooting • Ability to perform basic math and use computer • Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and powered industrial trucks (on-the-job training required) • Ability to wear required PPE and follow strict safety procedures Ecovyst is a materials science, catalyst, and services company dedicated to creating innovative technologies that play a critical role in supporting ecological health and help our customers solve complex challenges.
