These positions are temp to permanent. Pipe-fitter pay rate: $26 - $30/hr. depending on experience NO PER DIEM IS OFFERED. Weekly pay by direct deposit. Work schedule is for day shifts Monday thru Friday. Pipe-fitter Job Duties: • Read and review blueprints • Apply knowledge of system operation to select the most suitable pipe type and size • Install support equipment like hangers, brackets, pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic cylinders according to specifications • Inspect the worksite to ensure no obstructions to the pipe and if there are any holes or interference, repair or modify the design • Cut pipes using handheld and power tools like hammer and chisel, cutting torch, pipe cutter, and pipe cutting machine • Thread and bend pipes using pipe bending tools and threading machines • Assemble and install tubes, fittings, and non-metallic attachments. • Join pipes using threads, soldering, brazing, or cemented connections • Inspect piping systems and machinery to detect machinery malfunctions • Create protective pipe layers using paints and other mechanisms • Operate material movement machinery to lift pipes, support equipment, and heavy machinery Job Duties: • Proven experience as a Pipe-fitter (2 years experience) • Be able to run at least 7 - 8 inches of pipe • Technical proficiency • Ability to read and interpret visual data • Problem-solving skills • Knowledge of health and safety guidelines • Basic hand tools and all PPE • Attention to detail. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. • Ability to work in shifts and/or overtime.
