These are mainly first shift opportunities with a pay rate of $22-28/hour dependent on experience & skill level. Trades Generalist (Plumber - Facilities)

About the position The Trades Generalist (Plumber - Facilities) position at the New York State Thruway Authority involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems. This includes working with water supply systems, sanitary waste systems, compressed air systems, and associated fixtures. The role may also encompass other building trade work, requiring a versatile skill set in various trades. The incumbent will be expected to perform these duties effectively while adhering to safety standards and regulations. The position is full-time, with a workweek from Monday to Friday, and requires the ability to work mandatory overtime when necessary. The work hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and the role does not allow for telecommuting or flexible scheduling. The successful candidate will be part of a team that ensures the proper functioning of plumbing systems within the facilities managed by the Thruway Authority. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and troubleshoot plumbing systems and fixtures. , • Test plumbing systems for functionality and compliance with regulations. , • Perform maintenance on water supply and sanitary waste systems. , • Work on compressed air systems and associated fixtures. , • Engage in other building trade work as required.
