Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in their trade, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead by example. This role requires proficiency in interpreting drawings, specifications, and schedules, as well as a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and high-quality work environment. Key Responsibilities: · Prioritize safety by understanding, following, and promoting the company’s safety program at all times. · Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of piping systems. · Hang and thread pipe, perform cutting (torch or saw), grinding, leveling, and layout using measurement tools. · Apply in-depth knowledge of pipefitting codes, best practices, parts, and their proper usage. · Utilize proper tools and equipment to efficiently perform pipefitting tasks, including fitting weld pipe. · Assist in organizing project materials, reporting missing items, and ensuring necessary materials are ordered in a timely manner. · Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment at all times. · Demonstrate professionalism by being punctual, prepared, and maintaining a positive attitude. · Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence. Qualifications: · Proven experience as a commercial pipefitter or similar role. · Strong understanding of safety procedures and codes applicable to pipefitting. · Experience hanging and threading pipe, cutting, grinding, leveling, and using layout tools. · Experience fitting weld pipe; certifications or experience with stainless steel pipe a plus. · Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications. · Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members. · Owns or has access to the necessary tools to perform pipefitting tasks. · Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. · Performance-driven with a positive, proactive approach. · Willing to travel as required. · Able to work at heights, including ladders and lifts. Work Conditions: · Work takes place both indoors and outdoors. · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. · May require working at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
