Laborer/Pipe Fitter- Salary $52k - $58k

As a Laborer/Pipe Fitter, you will work on projects as big as furnaces or as small as piping, but your job is essentially the same, designing, cutting and shaping metal. A Laborer/Pipe Fitter may be involved in the creation of new structures or repairing existing ones. Laborer/Pipe Fitter are generally part of a team of other skilled workers; however, their duties are often performed with minimal supervision so Laborer/Pipe Fitter must be comfortable working independently in a factory setting. Responsibilities: · Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal components. Ensure welds are strong, clean, and meet specifications. · Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the appropriate welding techniques and materials required. · Material Preparation: Prepare and cut metal components to required dimensions using various tools and machinery. Ensure materials are accurately measured and aligned. · Quality Control: Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Perform necessary adjustments or rework as needed. · Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper handling techniques for hazardous materials. · Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment and tools. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team. · Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of fabricated components into the final furnace assemblies. Service Plumber Job Summary The Service Plumber will diagnose, repair, and install our customer’s plumbing systems as well as lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions. Supervisory Responsibilities • None Duties/Responsibilities • Install, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems and other equipment as necessary. • Provide technical assistance with the design of systems including installations and modifications to existing systems. • Complete preventive maintenance of systems and maintenance services as directed. • Prepare, record and report describing procedures, actions taken and recommended solutions. • Knowledge of pertinent rules and regulations, guidelines, safety orders, departmental operating procedures and safety regulations sufficient to ensure that work is performed in compliance with applicable law. • Follows safety rules/procedures; avoid known hazards in the work environment. • Responds to emergency calls and to be in the on-call rotation. • All other duties as assigned. FLSA Classification Non-exempt, Hourly Physical Requirements • Able to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb ladders use hands to finger, handle or fell and reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel for long periods of time up to eight (8) hours. • Must possess a valid State driver’s license or can obtain one prior to employment. • Must be able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment and other plumbing equipment. • Ability to focus and to differentiate between colors and shades of color. • Must be able to navigate a construction site to conduct safety checks following OSHA guidelines and on uneven terrain. • Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
