Job Description: The Guthrie Clinic seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair work on building systems, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning. This role requires the ability to install new systems, work independently, and supervise others. Key Responsibilities: • Servicing Systems: Monitor and maintain water, gas, sanitary sewer, and other piped systems in all buildings, including city water, domestic hot water, and piped gases. • Cleaning Drains: Maintain clear drains of all types using power augers, hand tools, or cleaning agents, on a scheduled or as-needed basis. • Maintaining Equipment: Clean dietary grease traps, surgery and emergency room cast traps, x-ray barium trap, and other equipment on a scheduled or required basis. • Temperature and Pressure Monitoring: Monitor pressure and temperatures of potable water systems throughout the hospital and other buildings. • Inventories and Supplies: Maintain an appropriate level of inventory, ordering fittings, piping, and related equipment as needed. • Preventive Maintenance: Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks. Requirements: • Education: High school diploma or equivalency required. • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in plant maintenance. • Skills: Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, use hand tools, small power tools, and varied pipe fittings.
