Plumber job at Norwell Inc. Boone, NC. Plumber We are looking for a reliable plumber to plan, install, and maintain plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. The plumber will be responsible for reviewing blueprints, planning, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems and related equipment. You should have ample experience in plumbing and installing plumbing systems according to specifications. You should have excellent mechanical skills and a good understanding of the requirements and precautions necessary for working with plumbing systems. Some, but not all, of the required responsibilities are: Carry out installation and/or maintenance of plumbing systems at project sites. Inspect previously installed plumbing systems. Perform necessary repairs to previously installed systems as required. Work with general contractors on projects to coordinate installation of plumbing systems. Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for each project. Work carefully to follow all current national and local codes to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections. Communicate well with supervisor, team members, and co-workers. Work with project manager to create and order materials for project look-aheads. Maintain clean and organized material trailer at job site. Fill out and maintain daily reports for projects youre working on. Work to maintain project schedule on for jobs. Requirements for this position: Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from work. OSHA-10 safety card (OSHA-30 is a plus). At least 5 years of proven plumbing experience on commercial plumbing projects. A plumbing license is not required but is a major plus (We perform work in TN, VA, NC, & SC) Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have experience using common plumbing hand and power tools. Read, understand, and interpret blueprints for projects. Read and understand plumbing specifications and submittal documents on projects. Ability to help instruct other team members on what work to perform daily. 5 years experience setting out plumbing fixtures and equipment. Communication skills. Willingness to work across trades.
