Duties and responsibilities Responsible for assembling and installing pipe systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Primary responsibilities • Responsible for pipe system layout, assembly, installation, and repair of piping systems • These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, and industrial processing systems. • Installs these systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes • Studies specifications, building plans and shop drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installation • Maintains the work area in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations • Bends pipe by hand or with a pipe-bending machine • Helps plumbers, combo welders, sheet metal workers as needed Experience with the following: • Carbon steel • Stainless • SCH40 & SCH80 • ½ – 24 pipes • Socket Weld & Butt Weld Basic Requirements: • Minimum 5 years Commercial/Industrial Pipefitting experience. • Own Transportation and willingness to work within the DFW region. • Ability to work off-shift and extended hours as needed. • Must provide own tools. • Able to read a tape measure, use a level, square and laser • Background Check and Drug Test Qualifications • Training and practical knowledge of construction trades. • Must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
