Service O&M Technician - Solar

We offer competitive pay and benefits and are currently looking for Service/O&M Technicians to work with existing photovoltaic (PV) systems installed by LightWave Solar and others. Technician will be called on to perform Service, Warranty and Operation & Maintenance duties. We have immediate opportunities throughout Middle Tennessee. Responsibilities • Install, commission, inspect, maintain, and repair solar PV systems, including solar panels, inverters, and other components. • Install, configure, and maintain monitoring systems for solar PV installations. • Conduct routine maintenance checks and ensure systems are operating at peak efficiency. • Clean and inspect solar panels, ensuring they are free of debris and damage. • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to solar PV systems, including electrical faults, monitoring and communication errors, and hardware failures. • Troubleshoot and repair inverter issues, ensuring proper DC/AC conversion and system performance. • Utilize specialized tools, diagnostic software, and equipment to identify and correct system malfunctions. • Perform isolation and testing of system components to pinpoint issues and determine appropriate corrective actions. • Address grounding and wiring issues to prevent electrical hazards and improve system safety and reliability. • Replace faulty components such as microinverters, optimizers, charge controllers, and circuit breakers. • Collaborate with technical support teams and manufacturers to resolve complex issues and implement solutions. Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in electrical or solar technology preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar PV installation, maintenance, or a related field with significant troubleshooting experience. • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical wiring, and circuit diagrams. • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and software for system monitoring. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to wear and properly use PPE, including safety harnesses, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and safety-toed boots for extended periods of time. • Safely climb and work from significant heights and exposed areas. • Work in various weather conditions, which can include extreme heat, cold or wet weather. Summary The Quality Control Manager ensures that project and company standards are maintained by overseeing all aspects of the quality control process during construction. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Develop and oversee the implementation of quality control specifications and standards. • Coordinate with project managers to discuss and resolve quality issues as they arise. • Implement inspection practices and protocols to ensure construction projects meet quality standards. • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations. • Conduct and document regular quality assessments. • Manage a team of QC inspectors to ensure consistent application of quality standards across all projects. The examination includes a series of tests and evaluations conducted by a certified medical professional to assess overall physical health, identify any potential medical conditions that could interfere with job performance, and verify that the candidate is capable of safely performing the essential duties of the position.
