**Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic** • *Job Description** Join our team as a Sheet Metal Mechanic, where you will play a vital role in supporting heavy jet aircraft maintenance, including A-checks, C-checks, and more. You will work from Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and Service Bulletins to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance. • *Responsibilities** + Read, interpret, and work from Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and Service Bulletins. + Assist, guide, train, oversee, and evaluate others. + Maintain attentiveness to aircraft scheduled/assigned job budgets and meet completion timelines. + Complete skin repairs requiring doublers or triplers with complex contours. + Perform complex repairs and replacements requiring substantial disassembly, such as wing spar and keel beam. + Document all work performed according to manuals and regulations. + Adhere to General Work Requirements and comply with environmental health and safety policies. + Remove and install aircraft components as needed. + Perform minor structural repairs on composite components. + Conduct hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures. + Assist with complex structural repairs on or off aircraft. + Operate ground support equipment as required. + Assist with aircraft component repair and mechanical/electrical removals and installations. + Inspect confined areas of the airframe. + Assist in designing, modifying, and welding metal fixtures as necessary. + Provide time estimates as required. • *Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience in sheet metal and riveting. + Experience in commercial aviation, specifically with Airbus and Boeing aircraft. + Familiarity with MRO processes. + Possession of an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is highly preferred. • *Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Airframe license is highly preferred; candidates without a license should be working towards obtaining their 8610-2. + Military experience with sheet metal airframes is acceptable. + Experience with sheet metal assembly from OEMs like Boeing or Airbus is also acceptable. • ***If interested, please apply directly and expect a call from Jaden with Aerotek.
