Overview AM Mechanical is a nationally based design/build mechanical contractor, specifically focused on the installation of commercial HVAC systems. We service customers across several different industries, including commercial laundry, manufacturing, plastics, clean room, food & beverage, cosmetics/pharmaceutical, and indoor vertical agriculture spaces. As a commercial HVAC installer, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating with our on-site team as required to install turnkey mechanical HVAC systems on active construction sites and operating process facilities. This involves pulling dimensions off key building features (walls, columns, etc.) and maintaining proper elevations to avoid conflicts with other building systems. • Install/fabricate all hangers, wall supports, and floor supports as needed to adequately support all ductwork. • Install a variety of HVAC system specifications, which may include but are not limited to: • Rectangular Duct Systems • Spiral/Round Duct Systems • Packaged RTU's • Air Handlers • Exhaust fans • Roof curbs • Unit Heaters • Flex, and Grills • Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams • Layout, install, and assemble facility equipment per detailed drawings and specifications. • Work with jobsite foreman and other journeyman HVAC installers to accomplish daily tasks. • Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules utilizing knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel. • Engages in problem solving with team members and other personnel on a construction site to ensure installation is coordinated and in line with customer quality expectations. • Operates and supervises operation of equipment and machinery such as forklifts, man lifts, and power tools. Qualifications • High school diploma, GED, trade school • At least 3 years of experience installing HVAC systems. • Have a working knowledge of the materials and the installation of each found in the mechanical construction industry. • Ability to travel to construction projects across the country on rotating schedule. • Able to work Monday-Saturday (10-hour days) with occasional evenings and Sundays as needed. Must be able to be flexible with work schedule. • Possess valid driver's license. All successful candidates must have a valid driver's license and complete a criminal background check.
