The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to produce accurate cost estimates for various projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of metal properties, production processes, and cost factors. Job Responsibilities To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following: · Review and analyze project specifications, blueprints, and CAD models to understand sheet metal requirements. · Conduct research to gather data related to labor costs, materials, production times, and expenses. · Calculate the total cost of sheet metal components using specialized software and cost estimation techniques. · Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates and quotations to clients or project managers. · Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, and clients to negotiate pricing and finalize contracts. · Work closely with the design and production teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. · Assist in the planning and scheduling of sheet metal fabrication projects. · Maintain accurate records of all estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
