Inspection Job Description • Conducts designated visual inspections and dimensional checks on fabricated and machined parts. • Performs first-run, floor and final inspections, as directed, to assure that items meet required standards and conform to manufacturing specifications. • Proficient in measurement tool usage (micrometer, caliper, height gauge, etc.). • Program, operate and maintain a Hexigon Portable Measuring Arm (PMA). • Understanding of mechanical drawing, dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Ensure tools are calibrated and cleaned. • Scan and track your work in Mie Trak Software. • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, E-mail). • Maintains required records and prepares all paperwork relating to inspection. • Maintain adequate measuring equipment and inspection fixture requirements. • Manage your work flow and be conscientious of efficiency and quality. • 3 years' experience in inspection, preferably in a metal working and machining environment. • Proficient in inspection fixture design and set up. • Detail oriented and meticulous. • Punctual, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. • Positive attitude and desire to contribute is mandatory. • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. • Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
