Job Duties • Supervise crew of up to 6 workers • Installation of sheet metal duct and related equipment from start to finish • Understand plans, specifications and scopes of work, layout and measuring of duct systems • Experience with installation of commercial HVAC Systems, including AHUs, RTUs, knowledge of RTU's, fans, and related components • Problem solving with minimal supervision • Ordering materials/duct fabrication lists • Participate in coordination meetings • Meet construction schedules/deadlines • Complete scheduling lookaheads, and provide progress report documentation • Follow and adhere to the safety rules and regulations appropriate to various projects • Operate various power and hand tools as needed • Pre-plan and order materials for the crew • Maximize profitability through thoughtful purchasing and logistics • Organize project documentation, jobsite materials, company tools and truck stock • Train apprentices • Operate scissor lifts, forklifts, etc. • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Minimum 5 Years field experience • Experience in construction project planning • Must be punctual, self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess a positive attitude • Able to read and understand installation, operation manuals, and specifications to ensure proper installation and function of systems • Familiar with commercial and industrial equipment • Must be reliable, efficient, & determined • Safety trained and safety conscious • Exceptional work ethic • Clean driving record • Clean criminal record • Must have strong desire to be part of a lean, high performance, fast paced team Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Paid time off • Referral program • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Job Type: Full-time Pay Range: $38 - $45 /hr Kalamazoo Mechanical, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.

Assistant Manager, Commercial Roofing & Sheet Metal

Title: Assistant Manager, CSG Roofing & Sheet Metal Primary Function: This position involves working with existing supervisors, estimators and supervising roofing service and maintenance crews as well as supporting capital projects. This position is responsible for completing assigned service/roof restoration jobs and the training of production and maintenance workforce. Reports To: Vice President, CSG Roofing & Sheet Metal Responsibilities: 1. Represents the Firm in a Professional Manner, promotes the organization in a positive and productive discipline to serve as an example to others. 2. Provides project management to major roofing and sheet metal projects. 3. Assists with enforcing and ensures employees follow Company’s safety and quality procedures and standards. 4. Support Client interface and Customer Care objectives. 5. Attends to CSG - Emergency Leak Calls/Strategic Maintenance. 6. Keeps all service vehicles equipped with materials and tools necessary to complete repairs. 7. Reviews all capital and maintenance projects with GM for daily production expectations, material takeoff and project logistics. 8. Works closely with field foreman to meet objectives. 9. Communicates progress to the Project Manager daily. 10. Inspects work performed and ensures manufactures’ and StructureTec’s installation guidelines have been followed. 11. Trains and mentors’ employees in the shop and in the field. 12. Interacts with customers and maintains good working relationships with all clients on regular basis. 13. Support project bidding. 14. Assisting with managing employees in the reroof and installation process of commercial roofing jobs as required. 15. Continuing to educate and improve technical knowledge/skills through outside and in-house programs, seminars, training sessions, site visits, trade periodicals, and other resources. 16. Completes all jobs including leak calls & re-roofs with minimal punch lists and redos. 17. Inputs information and manages ELR tracking system. 18. Project Superintendent for all capital and maintenance roofing work. 19. Fills in for GM when needed. 20. All other duties as apparent or assigned. Travel Percentage: The travel schedule is based on project needs. Can meet or exceed 30-40% of total time.
