Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned and management retains the discretion to add, delete, or change the duties at any time) • Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances. • Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications. • Maintain logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. • Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. • Maintain a safe work environment to make certain MIOSHA safety rules and regulations are followed. • Must be able to utilize mathematic concepts effectively in order to: read a measuring tape, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet. • Perform production assignments as directed by supervisor. • Must be able to effectively communicate in order to: comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, including reading and comprehending work orders or instructions to determine specifications (such as materials to be used), locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances. • Proficient in operating machines such as cutoff saw, punch press, form roll and drill press, to cut and shape components as required completing the fabrication process. • Fit and assemble components. • Clean and maintain machine and parts to keep equipment in optimal production conditions. • Conduct quality inspections using calipers, tapes, height gauges, check fixtures, and drop gauges. • Consult with quality assurance, and inspect work pieces throughout the production floor to identify out of tolerance machining. • Consistently meet production standards as outlined by the production schedule, and manager without compromising quality and/or safety. • Must be able to interact in-person with peers and leadership for the duration of the shift. • Must be able to handle high stress situations. • Follow and comply with ISO quality procedures. • Maintain cleanliness of work area. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
