Performance reviews occur 6 and 12 months after hire date with the potential for pay raises at each review. Wages are negotiable for candidates with experience in HVAC and other construction trades. Individuals will work on commercial and industrial construction sites in primarily the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Muskegon areas. Most job sites are located within 45 minutes travel time of Egan's Walker headquarters. Primary Responsibilities • Daily priorities are pulled from the ERP system, each team member manages their daily workload through the CSI Workbench. Utilization of handheld barcode scanning guns and computers where applicable. • Deburr and clean fabricated parts using hand tools or power tools • Stack, sort, and organize metal parts for staging or further processing • Perform basic metal finishing and grinding to smooth surfaces and edges • Tap holes in metal parts using tapping machines • Operate a stud welder and spot welder to assemble components as instructed • Inspect parts for visual quality and report defects to supervisor • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Follow all safety procedures and company policies Basic Qualifications • High school diploma required, additional technical training preferred • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Prior manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus but not required • Ability to use hand tools and small power tools safely and effectively • Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks • Willingness to learn and follow instructions closely • Strong attention to detail and quality • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Working Conditions • Manufacturing & warehouse environments • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand and/or sit, use hands, talk, and hear. • There is a requirement to be on your feet, walk and reach with arms and hands. • The associate will be tasked to lift and/or move items weighing 20 pounds or less and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40+ pounds. • The position requires wearing company provided eye protection and protective footwear.
