Job Title: HVAC Installer & Sheet Metal Worker Location: Fresno, CA Compensation: Based on Experience Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are currently seeking qualified HVAC Installers and Sheet Metal Workers for full-time work in the Central Valley. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, reliable, and take pride in quality workmanship. You will work with a team to install spiral ductwork and metal flashings for commercial projects, including metal roofs, window and door flashings, and more. Clear communication with customers, contractors, and team members is essential to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently. As a Press Break Operator you are responsible for producing high quality sheet metal parts safely and efficiently. Roles and Responsibilities • Operate Press brake equipment safely and efficiently in priority order. Priority set by Cell Lead based on the Velocity Board • Preform Quality Assurance checks of own work and coworkers. Insure all customer specifications are held within the Forming Department. • Proven ability to set up a minimum of two different machines with tooling, program and repeatability to meet tolerances of +/- .1 degree and 0.010” dimensional tolerance. • Modify programs to optimize machine and material handling • Backup Press Brake operators, cover lunches, brakes and absences of operators. • Perform routine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized • Proven ability of tool selection, bend sequence, holding bend radius, and flange lengths. • Operate Rolls and Press brakes • All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Requirements • Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills • Excellent knowledge of material, machine set up and operation • Understanding of material bend force requirements, tonnage calculations and tool selection for all material types • Proven ability to perform step braking/bump forming for radius and cones • Manual layout and forming when bake gauges cannot be used • Capable of modifying on the fly parameters and adjusting programs to maintain tolerances • Capable of preforming minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting • Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding and new hire training Salary: $20-28 hourly. A starting salary higher than $20 hourly is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate withe the compensation scale. Summary This SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT) LEADER position, is located at an Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD) and is part of the CA 1106 TASMG. Responsibilities THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT) LEADER, WL-3806-10, is to serve as a working leader of at least three employees in accomplishing trades and labor work within the Blade Shop. The highest level of nonsupervisory work led is Sheet Metal Mechanic (Aircraft), WG-3806-10. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard.
