Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic - State Wide Job Description We are seeking a skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic with expertise in ductwork to join our team. This role involves the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of duct systems in commercial buildings, ensuring energy efficiency and functionality. Responsibilities • Fabricate duct components by measuring, cutting, bending, and shaping metal sheets using tools such as shears, press brakes, and welding equipment. • Install ductwork in commercial buildings, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening through welding, riveting, and bolting. • Wrap and line ductwork with insulation materials to enhance energy efficiency and minimize noise. • Interpret mechanical blueprints and specifications to accurately plan and layout duct systems. • Inspect ductwork for accuracy and functionality, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure optimal performance. Essential Skills • Proficiency in sheet metal and duct work. • Experience in HVAC systems. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Expertise in duct installation and mechanical processes. • Competence in using hand and power tools for sheet metal fabrication and installation.
